Merlehan Group is a progressive law firm that values the contribution of those who work at the firm and is willing to embrace a practice style with a focus on delivering sustainable value to the firm’s clients from our work and our expertise.
If joining a firm that values your contribution to the business and wants to see you succeed in building and sustaining a client following excites you, then we would be pleased to hear from you.
Working closely with Partner and Managing Director, Adam Merlehan, this role is a key one servicing key work for key clients and it will involve cultivating and leading a small team of talented lawyers to service the firm’s existing clients while developing new instructions and attracting new clients through targeted business development initiatives.
Professionally, this role will require deep expertise in the drafting and negotiation of suites of repeat use construction contracts and single use bespoke contracts of varying delivery and remuneration models. Experience solving construction related disputes or providing mid-project advice to clients to avoid the occurrence of major disputes and ensure project success will also be highly regarded.
Personally, this role would suit someone who is driven by the skill of producing excellent quality legal advice and documentation that is responsive to key project risks and client needs, and the commercial dynamics of the client’s situation. The role requires acute attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Interpersonally, we look for candidates who role model the qualities and attributes of trust, rapport, empathy and respect with clients and colleagues and are interested in mentoring talented junior lawyers to see them develop into outstanding professional advisors and people. Interpersonal fit is just as important to us as technical brilliance.
A genuinely competitive remuneration package commensurate with the seniority of this role, your experience, and one which is supportive of you taking the next step in your career is on offer.
